Dear Friends:
On behalf of the members of the Yaphank
Presbyterian Church, welcome to our website. Though we are church with a rich
past…. a church building built in 1851, a recorded history back to the old one
room school house of Yaphank in 1817, the acquiring of the land for the church
in the late 1700s, and through our sister parish in Southold roots back to the
Pilgrims of 1620….we have a Biblical faith that is relevant for the 21st
century.
We are a small church….a family
church….a church where everyone belongs. Whether it is to worship, to study,
to participate in the Scouts or Alcoholics Anonymous, or to just to find
friends, Yaphank Presbyterian welcomes you.
Located in the middle of wooded Pine
Barrens of Yaphank and Central Suffolk County we are able to host summer camps
and outdoor activities for a wide variety of church and community groups. Our
on-going building projects continue to provide better facilities for these
activities.
We hope that you will not only visit
our web site but also come and participate in the many services and activities
of the church. In the long tradition of this parish we are a church for the
community and welcome people of all cultures and traditions.
